Oh, my goodness. I’ve always thought of you as having lived in England all your life; how fascinating to know your childhood, or some of it anyway, was spent right here in Chicago! 🙂

Absolutely! Are you from Chicago as well? I am back a lot to visit family. I hope to organize some kind of event there in the future.

Not from Chicago originally, but having lived here for 23 years I may as well have been. (I was born and raised in Bloomington, Indiana.)

Congratulations on the H.P. press. I love your site. As a nurse I’m always fascinated with medical history, and you certainly deliver the goods. Good luck with your film/fundraising.

What a great interview! Your blog has always fascinated me and now you have the opportunity to reach a whole new audience. And if you ever do anything in Chicago, I want to know too. I’m west of Detroit so it would be a short ride. And a great reason to stay downtown in Chicago 🙂 (nightsmusic)
